Photos: Marlins Win In Baseball League Action
YAO Baseball League action continued today [May 13] at their Kindley Field grounds and saw the Marlins defeat the Cubs 17-2.
Marlins Defeat Cubs 17-2
Cubs watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 17-2 loss to Marlins on Saturday.
Marlins took an early lead in the first inning. With two outs in the first inning Billy Montgomery drove in one run when he doubled. Montgomery led all hitters going 4-4.
Marlins scored six runs in the fifth inning. Marlins’s big inning was driven by a double by Dariyon Davis, a single by Travis Cordey, a groundout, a walk , and a single by Daniel Exell. Jaden Malpas led the Cubs in hitting going 2:3. Malpas also had a strong game behind the plate.
