January 28, 2018

Bermuda’s Lamont Marshall competed at the 2018 BU John Thomas Terrier Classic at Boston University, breaking the Bermuda men’s 5000m indoor record in the process.

His time of 14:22.19 saw him place second in a field of over 60 runners, and set a new Bermuda indoor record, breaking Terrance Armstrong’s record time of 14:45.33.

Marshall not only broke a Bermuda record in his first race of the season, he also also bettered his own outdoor record of 14:23.35.

Next up for Marshall is the David Hemery Valentine Invitational to be held at this same venue on February 10th, where he is scheduled to compete in the 3000 meters and hopes to run a sub 8:00 time.
