Chases should be reserved for serious offenses only, it is simply not worth putting other road users at risk for traffic offenses.

    • cpm says:

How do you know it was’nt serious?

    • Hmmmm says:

And that will fix our appalling driving!!! No-one will ever stop…

  4. swing voter says:

why son? you pull chase is bad enough…but flogging the wrong way up a main road is just plain effed up son!

  5. Keeping it real says:

I agree that chasing for a mediocre offense isn’t worth risking innocent lives. Is it not worth investing and training officers to use drones to follow these individuals? I mean drones can fly up to 7k from the user.

  6. MM says:

If the officer was pursuing a bank robber there might be merit , or in possession of chemicals or a gun. This is a matter of public safety. What’s the penalty six months off the road for dangerous driving

    VEHICLE INDICATOR LIGHTS AND HORN

What can I say about vehicle indicator lights to make the topic interesting , Oh ! I know, indicator lights save lives , I am talking about your life here .

Not many have perfected the art form of mind reading , that is just a pre conceived magic trick to send a message, which will not work on the roads.

Unfortunately many life threatening collisions could be avoided, if ,we all used our turn signals every time we changed the vehicles direction ,this is paramount when driving around the City.

Your vehicle does not have to be moving to activate your turn and brake signals .

Who is looking for turn signals ? the answer to that question is every body, including pedestrians .

Headlight have a flash feature which can be used as a signal.

We all know what brake lights are used for ! About to stop or being in stop mode.

At a stop light / sign keep the brake lights on , failing to do so the driver behind you may think you are moving off, you will get rear ended.

With regard to brake lights may I recommend that drivers should not pump brakes which causes the brake lights to flash which sends the wrong message those tail lights should be either on or off .

I am not sure if this feature is in any rule book ! however, on occasion at a stop light / sign I put on the emergency flashers as a warning I sometimes hit the horn because you never know if the driver approaching from behind you has had one to many and needs a wake up call.

THE HORN is best described as an alarm, best for daytime should be used in moderation to let others know where you are.

You can not see a horn at night .

By the way most horns are hard wired directly to the battery.

THE LIGHTS are most effective a night to let others know where you are, and while driving in the rain.

    Drive safe.

Don’t pull chase at all!!!! Deal with the consequences of your behaviors. Now, instead of a minor charge, you have added a number of more serious charges to your list.
