Nicky Gurret Wins At Flower Show In India

Nicky Gurret recently won first place in her class at the World Association of Flower Artists [WAFA] show in Jaipur, India.

Ms. Gurret said, “I am thrilled to receive first place and be acknowledged on the world stage as one of the best floral artists in the world, especially in India, where floral art is celebrated everywhere.”

Ms. Gurret competed in one of 29 classes and won first place in her imposed class.

In second place was Juliet Leonard from New Zealand.

The title of the show is ‘Grand Floral Affair,’ a World Flower Show and international seminar; it is a tri-annual event held by the World Association of Floral Artists, and it was hosted in the city of Jaipur in India.

Her daughter Camille Chin- Gurret entered the craft class, where all the three top winners were from India.

The five-day floral art show saw 28 countries competing. The next one will take place in New Zealand in 2023.
