Bermuda Wins Practice Match in South Africa

The Bermuda national cricket squad got off to a excellent start by winning their first practice match by five wickets.

Bermuda’s Vice Captain Stephen Outerbridge came through scoring an unbeaten century as the Bermudian team won over a Sinoville Team in Pretoria, South Africa this afternoon [Mar 28]

The Sinoville team batted first and were all out for 242. Bermuda scored 245-5 in 41.3 overs, with former captain Irving Romaine with 27, Fiqre Crockwell scored 25, and left handed batsman Stephen Outerbridge putting up a fine performance hitting 105 off 97 deliveries.

The Bermudian squad was scheduled to attend a high performance training camp in Pretoria this week, then go on to compete in the ICC I-shield Tournament Tour. Bermuda will compete against Namibia for the ICC Shield on April 2, 3, 4 and 5 and will play two ODI’s April 7 & April 8 and T20 on April 10.
