Road Traffic Fatality Victim Still Unidentified

Almost two days after a man was struck by a car and killed, his identity still remains unknown.

The gentleman was walking along North Shore Road at around 1:15am on Apr 17 and hit by a car traveling towards Somerset.

The driver of the car, a 27 year old Hamilton Parish man, was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and causing death by dangerous driving. He has since been released on police bail.

The police are still trying to identify the man, who is described as:

  • Dark skinned
  • Stocky build
  • Approximately 30 – 50 years old
  • Wearing a black hooded jacket, beige/khaki pants and new black & white Adidas sneakers

Police are investigating the matter, and are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information on the identity of the victim to contact Police on 295-0011.
