Upcoming: Hospitality Institute’s Career Fair

istock seminar business nov 24On December 18th, the Bermuda Hospitality Institute’s Career Fair and Expo will feature a series of presentations, panel discussions and interactive workshops specifically tailored for high school and college students.

Karla Lacey, BHI CEO explains: “These presentations, along with others geared towards different age groups and stages of life, are designed to highlight the advantages of the Hospitality Industry and the many rewards to be gained from a career in this sector. Young people in particular aren’t aware of the wonderful opportunities Hospitality can provide.”

High school students who are among the first 200 to pre-register will enjoy a lively panel discussion ‘What is Service?’ featuring young Bermudians currently working in the industry, a career assessment session, followed by private behind the scene tours.

Alternatively, college students who pre-register will participate in a ‘Young & Ambitious’ panel discussion showcasing young Bermudians making a name for themselves in the industry, an interactive session ‘Pursuing your Passion’, that connects their area of study with career opportunities, and a presentation on aligning education, experience and salary expectations.

This line-up is preceded by a complimentary breakfast and followed with a complimentary lunch as well as give-aways and prizes! But only those students who register will be eligible. Registration is free and opens Monday November 29th at www.BHI.bm.
