Knife Wielding Burglar Escapes With Cash
Early this morning [Jan 24] a knife wielding home intruder broke into a Pembroke residence, injured one resident, and escaped after stealing a quantity of cash.
The suspect is described as a tall dark skinned male of slim build, wearing a long dark coloured hooded jacket and long dark coloured pants.
A Police spokesman said: “Around 3:35am on Monday, Police responded to a report of a burglary at a Robin Hood Drive, Pembroke residence. It appears that around 3:25am that day an unknown culprit gained entry into the apartment brandishing a bladed article and accosted one of the occupants, a 39 year old Pembroke man.”
“The other occupant, a 29 year old Pembroke man, managed to escape unharmed. The intruder fled the scene with a quantity of cash. The victim sustained facial injuries but declined medical treatment.”
“The suspect is described as a tall dark skinned male of slim build, wearing a long dark coloured hooded jacket and long dark coloured pants. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.”
3:35am and they want witnesses. Yeah rite…….
