September 29, 2011

The City of Hamilton today announced a $5,000.00 donation to CADA, encouraging responsible alcohol behavior.

During the presentation in the Mayor’s Parlour at City Hall, Deputy Mayor, Glen Smith said, “The City of Hamilton is pleased to make a $5,000.00 donation to CADA’s Let Us Drive program. We believe this is an important initiative that is taking place in the city to ensure patrons who have been out drinking late on a Friday night have a safe, free and reliable way to get home.”

Below Deputy Mayor, Glen Smith presents the check to CADA’s Executive Director, Mrs. Gillian Freelove-Jones:

Maybe they should donate to cleaning up the Vagrants that loiter in public places drinking and hassling tourists. Is there no park or bench in Hamilton without unemployed alcoholics right now? It is an issue that needs to be adressed, it damages our tourism / business image and these people need help!
