Photos: 2011 Berkeley’s ‘Carnival Christmas’
Berkeley Institute students presented ‘Carnival Christmas’ earlier this week in the school’s auditorium.
The play written by student director Tashel Bean, and focuses on Talea, the daughter of the carnival boss Kenny Matthews, who plots to run away with her screen idol.
The production was overseen by Drama Adviser Josephine Kattan, and Instructional Team Leader for the Arts Dana Marie Semos.
The night was a mix of both drama and musical performances that entertained the crowd. Performers included the Berkeley String Ensemble, the Berkeley Dancers, Berkeley School Concert Band and Berkeley Drumline. There were also guest performances by Island Rhythm and Bermuda School of Music.
