Zharrin Simmons Returns To Court For Speeding
20-year-old Zharrin Simmons — who is currently in custody awaiting sentencing after being convicted of participating in the robbery and assault on a couple in August 2011 — appeared in Magistrates Court on Friday morning [July 27] for traffic offences.
Ms Simmons was charged with speeding at 65kph on 19th June 2012; and with failing to give information to Police on 22nd February 2012.
Saying that she could not remember the incidents, she pleaded not guilty to both.
Ms Simmons was escorted out of the Court, and will answer the traffic charges at a later date.

I don’t agree with the path this young lady has chosen, but i’m sure her environment had a whole lot to do with her choices in life. Yes there will be those with a good upbringing that still act the fool, however it is apparent that this young lady was failed on so many levels, to be in and out of custody before she was even 18 is crazy. She needs punishment and deserves no leniancy because she is now of age and is commiting serious crimes–but we must realize that she’s only the beginning of what is to come. For all you readers, if you know of a youth that’s straddling or in trouble…mentor them up and dammit report your neighbours to the child agencies if you have to. We know who’s pulling tricks, dealin and abusin. Our children deserve better.
