Gold Standard Bermuda is a dangerous company to me i look at as a target to encourage thieves to steal knowing they can take it to this place to receive money.

    • Richard says:

not just BDA world wide this is happing because of CFG

      • 21 Questions says:

CFG has been correlated to increases in gold theft, IMO good concept bad consequences.

  2. Pitts Bay says:

Like other jurisdictions, Gold Standard and other purchasers of Gold and valuables, should be required by law to retain and hold all items purchased for a period of 60 days prior to shipping off Island to be sold, smelted or melted down.

Too many stolen items are sold this way, and while their procedures may lead to the capture of the criminals, it does nothing to allow the innocent to get their property back, which may be of significantly higher sentimental value than the smelted price.

  3. Y-Gurl says:

Gold Standard and the Cash for Gold outlet are ————- if Goverment wasn’t asleep at the wheel they would insist there be a period which the goods have to stay here, perhaps 15 days to give the victims time to discover the theft, report it, not that the Police are going to find it but it also gives the victim time to get to these companies and look for their stolen gold and we need full disclosure by these “legitimate” companies

  4. Get ready says:

As long as we have a “cash for gold” option, crimes like this will be on the rise. This makes me fearful every time I leave the house with something on or every time I leave the house with my gold still in it. Just one more reason for Bermudians and residents to live in fear. We are really circling the toilet!

    • Will says:

booby trap the house..or buy a big f$% off rottweiler

  5. Concerned says:

Perhaps the Police should share pictures of all stolen goods to Gold Standard Bermuda to assist them in identifying goods coming in their door.
