there appears to be a big problem with lamp posts in Bermuda, maybe they should have been erected on the side of the road!

    • Come Correct says:

Or sky hooks…then nobody would hit them.

      • Observant says:

Better yet, purchase the ones that actually stand still and stop jumping into the road.

        • Triangle Drifter says:

“It appears that a car was being driven along Crow Lane when it collided with a lamp post.”

Yup, the car was driving itself & the lamp post was not looking where it was going either so there was a collision between the two.

Where is the driver of the car responsible in all of this?

          • Drivers' Daughter says:

Have you ever been driving your car and lost control and got it an accident? It sounds like you haven’t. So when you have then you can type your NEGATIVE COMMENTS but until then zip your lips and leave my mom alone.

            THANK YOU.

      • bye bye says:

Or people should stop drinking and driving? How did this become the lamp post’s fault?

        • Drivers' Daughter says:

My mom was NOT drinking she DOESNT drink. Why does the driver have to be drunk to get in an accident? Does every accident that happens include DRUNK DRIVERS? NOPE, I didn’t think so. So, next time think before you talk and STOP ASSUMING.

          GRACIAS

  2. Xman says:

I hope that is was not one of those ” go ahead girl have one for de road” situations.
But that she could have taken her eyes of the road thinking about her $400 electric light bill.- you never know!

  3. Kim simmons says:

good morning , I was not drunk.. it was a freak accident that just happened.. why does a person have to be drunk? I don’t drink.. I’m glad to be alive, thanks. have a blessed day you all.

    • swing voter says:

oooops. the car just decided to hit this pole for no reason other than what? c’mon Kim ….freak accident? be for real

      • Drivers' Daughter says:

        ZIP YOUR LIPS.

Like I said to “Nuffin but de Truth!” The whole story isn’t even isn’t even written. If that was the whole story don’t you think that would be a pitiful story. Alright, THANK YOU. There’s always more to a story! So, maybe next time the police shall get ALL information before they send it to BerNews, don’t you think? I think so.

        :-)

    • Nuffin but de Truth! says:

Unless you were struck by lightning strikes or a sink hole opened in front of your wheels, that’s a pi$$ poor excuse!

you were supposed to be operating the vehicle!

      • Drivers' Daughter says:

        OMG, shut your mouth.

WHat the police wrote is not even half true of the real story.

Your sarcasm isn’t needed nor is it funny. Take it somewhere else.

  4. second says:

Bermudians need to stop being so judgemental. Be thankful noone was hurt any worse. Remember “But for the grace of God”!!

  5. Drivers' Daughter says:

OBSERVANT, TRIANGLE DRIFTER & COME CORRECT: I don’t appreciate your smart remarks against my mom. Suppose that was one of your family members I am pretty sure you wont be commenting or writing the comments that you wrote. WOULD YOU? No, I didn’t think so. So, next time think before you type cause I’m pretty sure if it was one of your family members you would be cussing them out.

BYE BYE: Dont assume! Who are you to be assuming on the accident? Were you there? Did you see it? Do you have any proof? NO, so next time you should think before you write as well.

I HOPE ALL OF YOU HAVE A GREAT EVENING!

    • Fruity says:

Ms. Simmons, to you and your mom. I understand were you’re coming from and can only imagine the offense your feeling.
My opinion, instead of taking on everyting negative (espcially if YOU know its untrue) let it go/leave it/ ignore.. show more maturity rather than personally ‘computer attacking’. BUT if its satisfying than hey.. again just my opinion.
You’re getting worked up & wasting your moments over things and people you have no control over…”like accidents that happen” so be easy and stress-free. You owe it to yourself.
      ;)

  6. Xman says:

Well it’s over and done with now.
I hope she has a good recovery.
Accidents do happen.- even to perfect people.

  7. Kim simmons says:

xman you are so ridiculous! you are very selfish and inconsiderate to people, it was an accident that happened so what is your point? I did not leave work to kill myself nor did the lord plan for me to have an accident and kI’ll myself after work. like I said before i do not drink , I do not smoke, I am not perfect, but I do know that I am very thankful to be living after this accident. I really cannot believe the comments that you make here on Bernews. I am so glad that their was not another adult or child involved because I wouldn’t beable to live with that. my car skid in the rain and I could not control the situation. if you have any advice for me the next time I get into an accident just let me know, cause this perfect person would like to know……
