Digicel Bermuda Launches New Family Plans

May 29, 2013

Digicel Bermuda today launched a new product – Digicel Family Plans, which offer voice, SMS and data bundles for sharing between two and five people.

Digicel Bermuda CEO, Wayne Caines comments, “At Digicel we are always looking at technology and how customers use it to manage their lives. We strive to make mobile use easy and affordable and we believe that the new Digicel Family Plans do just that.”

Families will no longer require separate mobile bills and can take advantage of the savings that come with sharing. Digicel Family Plans customers can now share voice and data in one plan with one low monthly bill.

Digicel Family Plans are available for new and existing customers in a range of options starting at only $65 per month for two people. The inclusion of unlimited on net calling means that those who share a Digicel Family Plan are able to call each other and other Digicel customers at no additional cost.

Shane McDonnell, Sales Director of Digicel Bermuda adds, “We have listened to our customers and are very excited to offer what they’ve asked for – voice and data sharing. In this data driven climate, families can now share and save on their mobile spend. We highly anticipate parents who have their children on prepaid services will opt to share a plan going forward and our retail agents are on hand and equipped to assist in the transition.”

To keep the primary account holder informed of usage automated SMS notifications will be sent when the group reaches 75%, 90% and 100% of each aspect of the plan.

Additional services such as Unlimited Nights and Weekends, Unlimited SMS and International SMS are available. And, those requiring more data during any month can continue to use service and will be billed a flat rate per tier of additional data required.

In celebration of the launch of Digicel Family Plans, Digicel will host a Family Fun Day this Saturday, June 1st on the lawn at City Hall. Digicel invites you to stop by and enjoy free treats for the family between 1pm – 4pm. Friends and family looking to combine mobile minutes, text messages and data under one umbrella can choose to do so at the event for the chance to spin the Digicel prize wheel.
