Tennis: Bermuda Defeat Panama In El Salvador
The ITF Junior Team Competitions continued with the North/Central America & Caribbean Pre-Qualifying event for ITF World Junior Tennis taking place in El Salvador.
The Bermuda boys team picked up their first win of the competition defeating Panama 2 – 1. Tego Bean’s Boys Under 14 match fifty-five minutes to complete, he defeated Kevin Perez in straight sets 6 – 1, 6 – 0.
Moziah Selassie had a longer match picking up the win in straight sets 6 – 1, 6 – 4 defeating Jorge Chevez in a match that took one hour and twenty-five minutes to complete.
The Doubles match took a total of one hour and ten minutes as Bean and Ricky Mallory Jr. went down in straight sets 6 – 3, 6 – 1 to Chevez and Perez.
