Junior Fishing Tournament This Coming Sunday
The Bermuda Anglers Club [BAC] will be hosting third annual Junior Fishing Tournament this Sunday, with the event open to all boys and girls under the age of 16.
The tournament will be held on Sunday 24th August 2014 on a rain or shine basis and kids will be able to start fishing at 8.30am in the morning. It’s free to enter, and any parents wanting to make last minute entries should contact the BAC by email on bacajft@gmail.com or call 337-6065. Entry forms are also available online.
Tournament Director Kip Froud commented the BAC has been delighted with the response to this year’s tournament.
Froud said, “It looks like we will have around 100 kids participating in 2014. And we are delighted Bermuda CableVision, Butterfield & Vallis and John Barritt & Son Ltd have come on board again as sponsors of this event, as has Flybridge Tackle. The support of these organisations means a lot to the success of this important event”.
The weigh-in will be held west of the Flagpole on Front Street between 3pm and 5pm on Sunday 24th August. And each child that comes to the weigh station will receive a free tshirt.
Prize giving will be held at the Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club on Saturday 30th August at 10am. 25 prizes are up for grabs. Go to the Bermuda Anglers Club Facebook page to keep up with all the Junior Tournament news.
