MSA: “Very Pleased With Students Results”

September 12, 2014

Mount Saint Agnes Academy [MSA] has announced that 100 percent of its graduating class has received the Alberta High School Diploma.

“We are very pleased with our students’ results and are proud of their success,” said Principal Sue Moench.

“This was only the second year that MSA has been an Alberta Accredited International School. For 100 percent of our students to achieve this standard, up from 97 percent in 2013, is a great accomplishment and testimony to the dedication of our Faculty, Staff, and students.”

2014 MSA Graduates

A spokesperson said, “MSA began implementing the Alberta Programs of Study in 2009 and received full accreditation in 2012 as an Alberta International School. The curriculum is an all-inclusive, ongoing program, beginning in kindergarten and culminating with high school seniors receiving the Alberta High School Diploma upon graduation.

“Achievement Tests administered by Alberta Education were also completed by students in grades 3, 6 and 9 for the first time this past school year.”

“The results of these tests were outstanding, surpassing the rigorous Alberta standard across the board,” said Principal Moench. “They are a strong indicator that our inquiry-based approach to learning is becoming well-rooted.

“As we start our 125th anniversary year, we are confident that our academic excellence and rich tradition of Catholic values will continue to be reflected in all our graduates.”
