Sunday February 22nd: “Good News” Spotlight

February 22, 2015

While much of the recent news revolved around the Budget, a number of positive stories also emerged this week, including news that Bermudian culinary student Shayne Trott will travel to New York to train at Marcus Samuelsson’s restaurants, young Donovan Dyer-Trott aiding a friend with asthma and triathlete Flora Duffy claiming back to back wins in South Africa.

In addition, Bermudian cricketer Dwayne “Sluggo” Leverock had his famous catch featured in a BBC Top 10 report, the Powerboat Association made a $1,500 donation to St. John Ambulance Bermuda, and Opportunity Workshop’s ‘Giving Back Program’ provided a sizable food donation to Feed the Children Ministries.
