TCD Vehicle Registration Section To Close Early

June 29, 2015

The TCD registration section will close early tomorrow [June 30] at 4.00pm, as a “result of limited resources and a high volume of work,” the Ministry said today.

A spokesperson said, “Bermuda’s motoring public is advised that the registration section at the Transport Control Department [TCD] will close early tomorrow, June 30th, at 4 p.m., as a result of limited resources and a high volume of work. All administrative services will still be available until 4:45 p.m.

“TCD sincerely apologizes for this inconvenience and takes this opportunity to thank the public in advance for their cooperation.

“Please note that online re-licensing and appointment booking is available at www.etcd.gov.bm, and those due for a TCD visit should make every effort to take advantage of the three month period preceding the expiration date for annual relicensing.”

  1. Really? says:

“limited resources and a high volume of work”
And your solution to this is to close early? Am I missing something here? Most businesses would either hire more staff, thus satisfying the resource end of it, or give overtime to the existing staff to get the “high volume of work” down to a more manageable level.

This is a joke! Who are they trying to BS they don’t do enough work at that place and make you feel like they are doing you a favor, typical Bermuda Government inefficiencies and “job for life” mentality, this is a stupid statement and the minister should get off his a** and take charge of these clowns.
