Fire Service Extinguish Cedar Hill Wood Pile Fire
[Updated] The Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service responded to a fire in the Cedar Hill Road, Warwick area this afternoon [July 12] where a pile of wood was fully ablaze.
At least two fire service appliances with more than six personnel attended the location where the fire was quickly extinguished and fire fighters doused the area to ensure any hot spots where completely wet down.
Update 11.44pm: Fire Service spokesperson Sergeant Russann Francis said, “At approximately 1:55 pm, BFRS personnel were dispatched to the Cedar Hill in Warwick to extinguish a brush fire that became out of control.
“On arrival we found a wood pile on fire in an area measuring roughly 20’ x 20’ with flames raging toward a container on the property.
“Fire Service responded to this incident with two vehicles and eight personnel who were able to extinguish the fire within half hour.”
