BMDS Set To Open ‘Communicating Doors’ Play
Drivers were greeted to a unique sight this morning [Sept 11], as a dominatrix, a business tycoon, and a disgruntled wife were waving to passersby at the Johnny Barnes Roundabout, serving to represent characters in the Bermuda Musical and Dramatic Society’s [BMDS] latest production, ‘Communicating Doors.’
A spokesperson said, “Communicating Doors is a superbly written comedy thriller set in a near dystopian future. Here, a young woman finds herself fleeing for her life through a hotel “communicating door” only to find out she has traveled 20 years into the past where she is presented with an opportunity to alter time for the better.”
“With a mind bending plot, playwright Alan Ayckbourn has the audience hanging on every line. Communicating Doors opened in the West End in 1995 and has been performed by various theatre groups in London and New York City.”
The show opens at The Daylesford Theatre on Washington Street, behind City Hall, on September 16, and runs through to September 23. Performance nights are Wednesday through Saturday at 8.00pm, and tickets are available at ptix.bm.
