October 14, 2015

Appearing in Magistrates Court today [Oct 14], a 24-year-old Paget resident pleaded guilty to taking part in a fight on Front Street on October 3rd 2015 and was fined $500.

The Crown Prosecutor told Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo that police had been called to a disturbance outside the Beach Bistro on Front Street.

On arrival, they found Geoffrey Willoughby fighting another man, with the pair surrounded by spectators.

Police arrested both men, however the second defendant did not appear in Court today and a warrant was issued for him.

Asked to explain his actions to the Magistrate, Mr Willoughby told the Magistrate that he was celebrating his birthday weekend and was intoxicated at the time. He told the Magistrate that he was sorry.

The Magistrate fined Mr Willoughby $500.
