Berkeley To Presents “For The Love Of Music”
On Wednesday, April 13th, 2016 at 7pm, the Berkeley Institute Music Programme will present “For the Love of Music” directed by Mr. John Woolridge and Ms. Karen Carlington.
The concert features the diverse musical talents of the school’s Concert Band, String Ensemble, Choir and showcases several solo artists. Music students at The Berkeley Institute perform in various concerts throughout the year; while they also prepare for Edexcel GCSE Music Exam and Royal School of Music Exam.
A spokesperson said, “Audiences will enjoy listening music by classical artist such as Tchaikovsky and pop artists such as Katy Perry and Outkast. Relish in solo performances by Bermuda Idol finalist Angelis Hunt, scholarship student of the Manhattan School of Music Lauren Genevieve, Outstanding Team for the Performing Arts Nia Dailey among many other talented Berkeley students.
“Tickets will be on sale in the school office $10 for general and $30 for patrons. Proceeds from the concert will go towards purchasing music software and a new Apple computer for our GCSE Music Students. We truly appreciate your support in the future of Bermuda’s artists.”
