Police Arrest Five People, Seize Drug Equipment

The police made five arrests yesterday, with two men arrested in the Happy Valley area, while two women and one man were arrested in the Hamilton Parish area.

Happy Valley

A police spokesperson said, “At approximately 12.30pm on Wednesday, officers came upon a male outside of a residence on Happy Valley who was wanted in connection with an outstanding warrant.

“Officers pursued the male who ran inside of a house on Happy Valley, and once inside police found the suspect in a room in the dwelling along with a quantity of drugs.

“The suspect along with another male were arrested for possession of a controlled drug.

Hamilton Parish

“Meantime, on Wednesday at 2:30, April 6th, police executed a warrant at a residence on Radnor Road in Hamilton Parish and as a result a quantity of plant-like material and drug equipment was seized.

“Three persons were arrested; a 35-year-old female for possession of a controlled drug and a 35-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man were arrested for outstanding warrants.

“Active investigations into both of these incidents are now underway.”
