Friday: Swing Bridge Marine Traffic Disruption

October 27, 2016

The Ministry of Public Works is advising that at approximately 9am on Friday 28th October, the Swing Bridge on Mullet Bay Road, St. Georges, will be “temporarily closed to marine traffic in order to allow urgent repairs to the bridge as the contractor will be erecting scaffolding making it impossible for most marine traffic to pass under the bridge.”

“However, some smaller boats will still be able to pass under the south approach span of the bridge. By mid-December 2016, most of the obstructions to marine traffic will be cleared. The Ministry apologizes in advance for any inconveniences caused to the public,” the Ministry said.
