Greens Donate $500,000 For Radiation Facility
The Green Family made a donation of $500,000 to support the Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre’s new radiation therapy facility, saying that the radiation therapy facility will be a “game changer for Bermuda” as cancer patients will no longer need to travel off the Island for the treatment.
Glen P. Gibbons, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre, said: “Peter and his two sons, Alexander and Andrew, have been strong supporters of Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre for many years and we are very thankful for their support in the past.
“This donation towards the building of the Centre’s new radiation therapy treatment facility is greatly appreciated and will go a long way in helping the Centre to achieve its vision of ‘building healthier lives free of cancer and disease’.
“This facility is a comprehensive and unprecedented effort to deliver a new, transformative model of cancer care in Bermuda.”

The radiation therapy facility is set to open in mid-2017. Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre have a clinical affiliation with Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women’s Cancer Center, which is ranked 4th for cancer care in the United States by the US News and World Report ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care, meeting international standards.

continue their shrill childish routine to block the development of Bermuda at every turn–AND–continue to hurt the very people they are saying they are trying to protect (unbelieveable but true), there are folks like the Green’s who continue to dump money into Bermuda for the benefit of all Bermudians.
Its a shame that the naysayers, the political hacks and the blind followers don’t look upon this an example of commnity spirit and generosity and act in a simialr fashion.
Bermuda would be a far kinder place and opportunities would begin to abound for all Bermuda’s people.
The Oppposition are opposing forward progress–not very Progressive–it’s all a bit of a hypocritical nightmare.
Younger voters are watching the Opposition and they see right through you guys–need to up your game–the tired old rhetoric is really putting younger voters off–they see you as their demise.
And OBA–you need to park your arrogance and begin to speak clearly to the people of this country–you aren’t doing yourselves any favours either.
You can fool yourself. But other are more awake so pr don’t work on them because they understand the string.

Thank you to the Greens. I underwent 5 weeks of daily radiation and drove myself to and from the hospital every day by myself – 25 minutes each way. I was still suffering side effects from chemo and surgery. Having this therapy available in Bermuda will be wonderful!
