Football: First & Premier Division Results
Forty-seven goals were scored in this weekend’s Football Association league season action, with 33 goals in the First Division and 14 goals in the Premier Division.
First: Wolves 1 St. George’s Colts 8
At the Devonshire Rec. the St. George’s Colts defeated Wolves 8 – 1, Donavan Thompson led the way with a hat-trick, while Jarazhino Bassett scored twice. Jelani Carlington, Saga Paynter and Caylon Wade all added a goal each, while Kyle Brangman scored the lone goal for Wolves.
First: St. David’s 1 Somerset Eagles 1
At Lord’s in St. David’s, the host and visitors Somerset Eagles drew 1 – 1, Diego McCallan gave St. David’s the lead in the 18th minute, but Nathan Rego equalized for the Somerset Eagles in the 73rd minute.
First: Ireland Rangers 3 BAA 9
At Malabar, BAA defeated Ireland Rangers 9 – 3, BAA got 2 goals from Quintonio Lema, Kane Crichlow and Shane Simmons, while Morricko Iris, Tyrell Burgess and Josh Hartman all added a goal each. Ireland Rangers got goals from Daunte Woods, Jonathan Bean and an own goal.
First: Hamilton Parish 1 Paget Lions 4
The Paget Lions defeated Hamilton Parish 4 – 1 at the Wellington Oval. Joshua White would lead the way with two goals, while Dion Stovell and Robert Richardson added a goal each for Paget Lions. While John Hunter Tucker scored for Hamilton Parish.
First: Southampton Rangers 3 Devonshire Colts 2
At the Southampton Oval, the Southampton Rangers remained on top of the table following their 3 – 2 win over the Devonshire Colts. Southampton Rangers held a 3 – 0 lead at the break after Donte Brangman scored twice and Khalil Symonds added the other, but Devonshire Colts would stage a comeback and got goals from Tineko Eve and Jahkeylo Burges, but they could not find the equalizer.
Premier: Devonshire Cougars 1 X-Road’s 1
At the Devonshire Rec. Devonshire Cougars and X-Road’s played to a 1 – 1 draw. The Devonshire Cougars got a goal from Chae Brangman and Kahmori Brangman scored for X-Road’s.
Premier: PHC Zebras 6 Flanagan’s Onions 0
At the PHC Stadium, Triston Hall scored a hat-trick to lead the PHC Zebras to a 6 – 0 win over the Flanagan’s Onions. Also getting on the scoresheet was Keishon Bean, Tre Ming and Cecoy Robinson.
Premier: Boulevard Blazers 1 North Village Rams 1
At Lord’s in St. David’s, the Boulevard Blazers and the North Village Rams played to a 1 – 1 draw, after a scoreless first half Kieshen Bean gave the North Village Rams the lead in the 85th minute, only to have Jahzardae Samuels score from the penalty spot in the 90th minute to earn the Boulevard Blazers a point.
Premier: Dandy Town Hornets 3 Robin Hood 1
At the St. John’s Field, the defending league champions Robin Hood suffered a blow following their 3 – 1 defeat at the hands of the Dandy Town Hornets. The Dandy Town Hornets got goals from Angelo Simmons, Tomiko Goater and Ernest Trott, while Lejuan Simmons scored the lone goal for Robin Hood.
