Police Confirm Fourth Road Fatality Of 2018
The police have confirmed that the death of 84-year-old Lois Simmons marks the fourth road fatality of 2018.
A police spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service can confirm that the autopsy of 84-year-old Lois Simmons has been completed.
“Results verify Ms. Simmons died of injuries caused when the car she was driving struck a tree in the vicinity of Barnes Corner, Southampton around 4:30pm Friday, May 4th.
“As such, Ms. Simmons is officially the fourth road fatality of 2018.
“The investigation regarding this fatal crash continues and any witnesses that have not already come forward – or individuals with knowledge of Ms. Simmons’ movements on Friday, May 4th before 4:30pm – are asked to contact Constable Tavin Trott on the main police telephone number 295-0011.”
