Raleigh Bermuda Holds Graduation & Launch
Raleigh Bermuda recently held their Graduation and Launch Celebration, including graduates from their Summer 2017 Expeditions and students of the 2018 Summer Group.
A spokesperson said, “Graduates from the Summer 2017 Expeditions included Donnikae Baker [Borneo]; Andrea Burrows [Borneo]; Keisha Butterfield [Borneo]; Asanté Darrell [Borneo]; Milvin DeRosa [CRN]; Sarzjae Minors [Borneo]; Demetria Packwood [Nepal]; X-onna Stevens [CRN]; Layla Stewart [CRN]; and Rickie Williams [Nepal].”
“The Summer 2018 Group includes Tevin Daniels [Tanzania]; Aaron Nelson [Nepal]; Alia Pavy [Tanzania]; SheVaughn Pemberton [Nepal]; Chelsea Pereira-Swainson [Tanzania]; Isaiah Smith [Tanzania]; Sion Symonds [Tanzania]; Antione Williams [Nepal]; and Ezekiel Williams [Nepal].”
“Two alumni who wanted to return overseas for another volunteer experience and self-funded their whole experience were David Simmons [Borneo - Alumnus Tanzania ‘13/Nepal ‘16/Borneo ‘17] and Jawonday Smith [Borneo - Alumnus CRN ‘12/Borneo ‘17].
“The Michael J. Spurling Award for the Raleigh Champion went to Andrea Burrows [Borneo ’17]. The Michael J. Spurling Award for the Raleigh Champion is presented to the participant who is an engaged, active Volunteer and Raleigh advocate, chosen by the Executive Director.
“The Malcolm K. Outerbridge Transformation Award was presented by Deloitte representative Rachelle Frisby to Keisha Butterfield [Borneo ’17]. The Malcolm K. Outerbridge Transformation Award is presented to the participant who is deemed by their peers to have had the greatest transformation.”
