Van Fire In Pembroke Under Investigation

Police and Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service personnel responded to a reported van fire this morning [Sept 27] on Fentons Drive in Pembroke – the second time the same vehicle has been damaged by fire this month.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 12.05am on Friday, September 27, police and Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service personnel responded to a reported van fire on Fentons Drive in Pembroke near the junction with Parsons Road.

“The white Nissan van involved was left parked and unattended. Firefighters extinguished the blaze and the scene was processed. There were no injuries reported.

“This same vehicle was damaged by fire after being left parked and unattended on Parsons Road, Devonshire near Happy Dale Road around 10.00pm on Wednesday, September 11th.

“Another recent vehicle fire involved a white Daihatsu van left parked and unattended on Fentons Drive, Pembroke near Parsons Road around 5.00am Tuesday on September 17th.

“Investigators have not ruled out the possibility that the three incidents may be linked.

“Witnesses or members of the public with information about any of these vehicle fires are encouraged to call the Criminal Investigation Department on 247-1744.
