Bermuda Sailors Compete In Team Racing
The 2019 North American Optimist Championships continued in Nassau, Bahamas, with Bermuda sailors split into two teams as the event moved into Team Racing.
Christian Ebbin, RJ Rodrigues, Kipling Rossouw, Magnus Ringsted and Laura Hupman made up the team Bermuda One, while Sophia Dias, Amelia Lewis, Rachael Betschart, Nicole Stovell and Ava Adams made up Bermuda Two.
In their opening match-up, Bermuda One received a Bye, while Bermuda Two took on and defeated Puerto Rico One.
Round Two saw the Bermuda One team fall to US Virgin Island, while the Bermuda Two team went down to the Tournament Team top seeds USA One.
Bermuda One then took on Canada Two and defeated them, while the Bermuda Two team advanced after defeating Bahamas One.
Both teams were eliminated in the next round as Bermuda One fell to USA One and the Bermuda Two team went down to the US Virgin Islands One team.
