Covid-19: BZS Staff To Work From Home

Staff from the Bermuda Zoological Society [BZS] are getting set to work from home due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

A spokesperson said, “You will be aware of the recent classification of Covid-19 [coronavirus] by the World Health Organization as a pandemic.

“In an abundance of caution for the health and safety of our staff and members, the Bermuda Zoological Society staff will be working from home and will be online for normal business and checking voicemail messages regularly.

“The administrative offices of the BZS at BAMZ will be temporarily closed to the public as of Monday, March 16 at 5.00pm. The office will remain closed through April 1, 2020. We will continue to monitor this rapidly changing situation and provide updates as necessary.

“For the safety of our Zoo family, the following have been suspended:

• School programmes, postponed until the end of the March

• Whale watching, postponed until the end of the March

• ZOOM Around the Sound has been rescheduled to Saturday, September 5

• Spring Camp, under advisement

• WILD Encounters, postponed until the end of the March

• Gift Shop, to be closed until further notice
