BEDC: Rent Your Commercial Kitchen Down Time

August 13, 2020

The Bermuda Economic Development Corporation [BEDC] is looking for underutilized commercial kitchen facilities who are able to rent their kitchen’s down-time periods to BEDC approved community users.

A spokesperson said, “BEDC is looking to identify Department of Health approved, underutilized commercial kitchen facility owners/managers who have a desire to rent their kitchen’s down-time periods to BEDC approved community users [bakers, caterers, etc] on a scheduled basis.

“BEDC is cognizant of underutilized commercial kitchens within the island and is desirous of matching eager kitchen owners with credible users within all areas of the community for the best economic development outcomes. BEDC’s intention is to play a project management/performance measurement role to ensure that all party expectations are met on an ongoing basis.

“If you are interested in this initiative and would like to find out more information please email kcaines@bedc.bm. Please include the name and location of the kitchen as well as the best contact person along with their email address.”

I would have to have some very serious conditions attached, like hygiene rules which, if broken, I must be compensated for.

  2. Stupid says:

And why would I rent out my kitchen to give away business to a catering firm when I need that catering business myself?!?

    This is beyond stupid!!!
