Regulations 2020 Large Group Exemption: Bermuda Football Association Awards Ceremony
Whereas the Minister of National Security considers that the proposed Bermuda Football Association’s Awards Ceremony is justifying an exemption from the prohibition in regulation 5 [1] and [2] of the Public Health [COVID-19 Emergency Powers] Regulations 2020 on groups of more than seventy-five persons assembling;
Now therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under regulation 5 [4] of those Regulations permitting a group of more than seventy-five persons to assemble Saturday August 29, 2020 between 7:00 pm and 9:30 pm at the City Hall [Front Steps/Lawn Area], 17 Church Street, City of Hamilton with the following conditions:
Conditions:
- All persons attending the event must wear a face mask and maintain appropriate physical distancing at all times.
- Number of persons permitted to attend event– 125 persons [City Hall]
- In case of inclement weather, the event will be held at Pier 6, Front Street, City of Hamilton, number persons permitted to attend – 100 persons.
- Persons must wear mask when not seated or moving around the venue.
- Security to monitor and enforce COVID 19 Regulations.
- The Bermuda Police Service / Ministry of National Security Official have right to attend and observe adherence to the conditions as prescribed above

Large Group Exemption: Funeral Repast – George Holdipp
Whereas the Minister of National Security considers that the proposed Funeral Repast for George Holdipp [Deceased] is justifying an exemption from the prohibition in regulation 5 [1] and [2] of the Public Health [COVID-19 Emergency Powers] Regulations 2020 on groups of more than seventy-five persons assembling;
Now therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under regulation 5 [4] of those Regulations permitting a group of more than seventy-five persons to assemble Saturday August 29, 2020 between 6:00 pm and 9:00 pm at the Somerset Cricket Club, 6 Cricket Lane, Sandy’s Parish with the following conditions:
Conditions:
- All persons attending the wake must wear a face mask and maintain appropriate physical distancing at all times.
- Number of persons permitted to attend event– 150 persons
- Persons must wear mask when not seated or moving around the venue.
- No more than 10 persons permitted to be seated at a table.
- Security to monitor and enforce COVID 19 Regulations.
- The Bermuda Police Service / Ministry of National Security Official have right to attend and observe compliance of the conditions as prescribed above.
