Dale Eve Makes “Stunning” Double Save

October 8, 2020

Bermudian goalkeeper Dale Eve made a “stunning” double save to help Spennymoor Town claim a 2-1 victory against Farsley Celtic.

The club’s match report said, “Spennymoor began the league season with a lively win over Farsley as life behind closed doors commenced at The Brewery Field.

“Dale Eve was called into action with fifteen minutes remaining when he made a stunning double save from Spencer and Jake Charles, before Jordan Richards blazed over the crossbar.

“That pressure from the away side eventually led to an equaliser when substitute Charles swiveled in the area before trickling a shot past Eve to half the deficit.

“Farsley were adamant they should have been awarded a penalty in the dying seconds but the referee waved away their appeal.”
