The Minister of National Security Renee Ming will chair an Emergency Measures Organisation [EMO] Executive Meeting tomorrow [Oct 21] to get the latest update on Tropical Storm Epsilon.

A Government spokesperson said, “The Minister of National Security, the Hon. Renee Ming, JP, MP, advised that she will chair an Emergency Measures Organisation [EMO] Executive Meeting tomorrow to get the latest update on Tropical Storm Epsilon – which is forecast to become a hurricane on Thursday.

Minister Ming said, “Hurricane season concludes on November 30, and as we can see, we continue to experience an active storm season. At this stage, I am advising residents to check their emergency and storm supplies and replenish their provisions if needed. This includes non-perishable goods, batteries, water and the relevant health and safety PPE equipment.

“Following tomorrow’s EMO meeting of the Executive Group I will provide a further update to the public. TS Epsilon is a reminder for us that with six weeks left in this hurricane season, we cannot become complacent. It’s important that all residents take the appropriate steps to ensure that they are storm ready.”
