Ball Hockey: Diamond Ringers & Appleby Win
A total of 20 goals were scored in the latest round of Bermuda Ball Hockey action at the PCC Hockey Rink.
Alexandra Mosher Diamond Ringers 5 – BDA Spirits 1
The Alexandra Mosher Diamond Ringers defeated the BDA Spirits 5 – 1 in the opener.
Neither team scored in the first period, but the Alexandra Mosher Diamond Ringers held a 3 – 0 lead at the end of the second period thanks to two goals from Kyle Harvey and a single strike from Adrian Stromberg.
The BDA Spirits pulled a goal back early in the third period with a mark off the stick of Joel Neal, but Kellin Middleton scored twice for the Alexandra Mosher Diamond Ringers to make the final score 5 – 1.
Appleby 8 – Frontier 6
Appleby defeated the Frontier 8 – 6 in a 14 goal thriller in the nightcap.
Appleby got four goals from Ross Rufiange and two from Jeff Morash, while Andrew Kuzma and Ryan Good scored a goal each.
Frontier got two goals each from Hugh Vickers and Chris Grantier, while Jeremy Estey and Christopher Merritt chipped in with a goal each.
