A dramatic finish saw Brian Gay win the 2020 PGA Bermuda Championship. The drama played out on the last six regular holes before setting up a thrilling playoff. Clark had built out an early lead thanks to seven birdies on the first 11.
Trailing by three, Gay managed birdies on 12, 14, and 15 to pull within a stroke of Clark. He then pulled even after Clark got a bogey on the par 3 16th. Gay returned the favour with a bogey 17 to give Clark the lead again. Clark handled the par 4 18th accurately but Gay was one stroke better with a birdie on 18 to force a playoff. Gay took home $720,000 for his efforts while Clark pocketed $436,000. It was Gay’s fifth PGA TOUR title and first since 2013. He also earns a spot in the 2021 Masters.
