  1. Thank You Bernews,Mr. Don Burgess, Mr. Mark Pettingill, Q.C. Griffiths, and Mr. Eron Hill, todays briefing was very refreshing to hear and reassuring that the people of Bermuda have a voice.

Premier Burt you have a challenge on your hand and we the people have the right to be represented against your Draconian Actions.

  2. Lynn says:

    Finally!

  3. The Govt needs to stop these latest draconian measures, and to be clear, I am fully vaccinated, but thankfully I live in Florida.

These lockdowns and restrictions need to be stopped in Bermuda, and I say this because it was the govt that kept pushing the vaccine, and if the vaccine actually works, why to heck does anyone care if those that don’t want to get the jab don’t get it?

Texas is a great example of why these restrictions do not work, they two months ago lifted all mask restrictions and fully opened up, well guess what? after being called Neanderthals by the clueless president Biden, Texas just yesterday was the first state that had ZERO deaths and their covid numbers had been dropping ever since they relaxed the restrictions!

Here in Florida our Governor last week dropped all mask restrictions also, ( and this was before the CDC came out and said there is no need for vaccinated people to wear masks any longer) and I can tell everyone it is so nice that I now live a free life with no masks!

I wouldn’t go round using Floriduh as a shining example of…well anything.

      • Gee, let me guess, you “ looked it up “ on either CNN, New York Slimes or Washington Com- Post, right?

When it comes to Florida’s approach, they have absolutely done the correct thing all along and have been open and unlike California, our economy is booming and if you actually researched from reliable sources you will find our death rates with a much older population was never any worse than theirs, fact!

I live here and know of what I speak, you don’t!

You can live the rest of your life hiding from COVID but I will never do that!

      • Let’s be Truthful says:

Florida is completely a “shining example”.
DeSantis has clearly been an exceptional leader through this issue . This state is flourishing while others, with absurdly restrictive mandates, are floundering. I.e. NY, CA etc
The exodus from these states is palatable and why not. People want to live and live freely. Never was a Florida fan but have certainly changed my view. That’s leadership.

    • sandgrownan says:

Probably also worth pointing out that the infection rate in Floriduh is about three and a quarter times that in California, with two very different approaches to reopening.

Also worth noting that while the rate of infection in Texas is flat, everyone is still wearing masks, and many business still demand mask wearing. So while the mask restriction is gone, is hasn’t really.

Yes, I did look it up.

  4. Check Yourself... says:

Right on! I think the next couple of years are going to be interesting as they start to investigate the motives behind some these tactics.

    • SandgrownAn says:

They’ll find out it was a dastardly plot to protect the hospital from being overrun by unwell Bermudians. The horror!

  5. Pickled says:

Good discussion. Thalidomide was not a vaccine. It was a pill for nausea.
