  1. Ringmaster says:

This is great news for Bermuda and should be highlighted to encourage visitors to spend money, give work to the unemployed and get the economy moving. Unfortunately Bermuda is headed by a Premier and Tourism Minister, and others, who want to do everything not to have this happen, by encouraging a police investigation into an event sanctioned by the Minister of National Security. A classic case of the inmates running the asylum.

    • Question says:

Yes. Come here, spend a lot of money, get investigated by the police.
      Typical Bermuda.
It would be more acceptable if senior politicians were expected not to break covid laws as well, but as we have seen, that is not the case. The police ignore their lawbreaking, for some reason.

  2. Concerned says:

We need to lighten up on the restrictions. We have no tourists. We have every tourism business suffering beyond imagination. The Minister of Tourism and BTA are wasting quality productive time trying to prosecute a group of 80 global influencers for a couple of boats tied together during a staged event. We are in a dire situation. For God sake do something good. That is what we pay you a stupid amount of money for.

EVERYBODY THAT WANTED A VACCINE HAS GOT IT. WHY ARE YOU PROTECTING THE PEOPLE THAT DON’T WANT TO PROTECT THEMSELVES AT THE COST OF OUR ECONOMY?

    • Open for Business! says:

      I couldn’t agree more.

Everyone who wanted to be vaccinated is (with the exception of a few who medically weren’t eligible) and for those who chose not to get vaccinated well; that was their choice.

Time to move on, Bermuda needs to be OPEN for business!!! Yes, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, on land and on water!! People have bills to pay, food to buy……..

      • Sandgrownan says:

If someone who chose not to be vaccinated gets COVID, can we prevent them from getting medical care?

100% of ICU cases were unvaccinated
How many ICU cases died? Go on , have a guess.

        • CHRIS says:

just like if someone chooses not to put on their seat belt and gets into an accident, their injuries will be worse than if they had the seat belt on. same for vaccines. so people need to be aware of the consequences and what happens is on them. i would say though that if someone CHOOSES to not get vaxd and gets covid, should they be billed seperately at the hospital? should they have their insurance premium raised? all good questions regarding the cost of this pandemic

  3. raskarr says:

4 cases and yet we still can’t raft two boats up together?

    • Tom says:

Get a boat sticker saying shaggy is on board, and you will be good to go !

  4. PossibleTourist says:

Vaccinated American ready to fly, but BDA still requires me to wait hours for a test, four different times! No evidence vaccinated people can transmit the virus, but as with the Premier, ample evidence that a meaningless post-vax positive test can ruin your vacation and your wallet.
