We believe that now more than ever is a time for us to celebrate our national pride, our resilience and those who made such significant contributions to Bermuda.
“This year, the Department of Culture decided to host a concert as part of our ongoing commitment to assist musicians and other artists who have not been able to perform as a result of the pandemic. They will be performing musical tributes, songs that have special meaning to the families of our National Heroes.
“Although each of our eight heroes are very different in terms of their spheres of influence, each of their stories tell a part of Bermuda’s story. Each of their areas of personal and professional excellence provides us with part of a national origin story that we can mine for strength, wisdom, inspiration and resilience during times of hardship. So we see this concert as a way of connecting their extraordinary legacies to our contemporary times.”
“The Bermuda National Heroes Tribute Concert will have a covid-safe limited in-person audience of under 50 persons, comprised of family members and some members of the public. To attend the concert, interested persons can register by calling 292-1681. The concert will be live-streamed on the Department of Culture’s Facebook page, with a recording available afterwards on the Department’s YouTube channel, Bermuda Culture as well as CITV.
