Govt: ‘They Are In Breach Of Quarantine Order’
Sophia Cannonier and Michael Watson are “in breach” of the Quarantine Order 2020 for “refusing to comply with a requirement to quarantine as directed by a Health Officer” and it is “expected that this matter will go before the courts,” the police and the Ministry of Health said.
This follows after a number of police officers were seen outside of the Cannonier Watson house late last night and early this morning.
A joint statement from the Ministry and BPS said, “Upon returning to Bermuda yesterday [11 July 2021], Sophia Cannonier, her husband Michael Watson and their two children did not follow the requirements set out in the Quarantine [Covid-19] [No. 3] Amendment [No. 2] Order 2021.
“The family of four arrived without an approved Bermuda Covid-19 Travel Authorisation form for each family member. Also, in lieu of proof of vaccination, this family presented antibodies documentation, which is not recognised in Bermuda.
“As such, the Cannonier/Watson family is considered unvaccinated, and according to the legislation, must go into a quarantine hotel, which they refused to do.
“They are in breach of section 27[1][ab] of the Quarantine [Covid-19] [No. 3] Order 2020 for refusing to comply with a requirement to quarantine as directed by a Health Officer.
“It is expected that this matter will go before the courts and the Bermuda Police Service, and the Ministry of Health will not comment further on the specifics of this case.”

As if it wasn’t hot enough already the temperature is about to go through the roof.
2 things jump out here and they are not good for Bermuda. The first is that the Ministry of Health says the family arrived back without approved TAF’s for each family member. If correct. how were they allowed to leave the airport and go home? The second is that the Ministry says the matter will go before the courts and the BPS. Is Bermuda under Martial Law? Breach of a law is determined by the police who then present a file to the DPP who then decides if the evidence is clear enough to take the matte to court. When did this change?

Of course not! Gov’t wants you to take vaccines and drugs. They don’t recognize natural Wholistic Medicine which is much better for you and gets to the root of the problem! Been there myself. These people on the ‘hill’ will NEVER fix the economy or people’s health. They are defunct in my book. No respect for their fellow Bermudians. They can’t draft a policy without.goofing up and being laughed at! The Covid Saga deepens and still the loopie-doopies are striking back at everyone, sugar tax included! The Covid taxes was a secret group of taxes- oops! We figured it out!!

Please Bermuda realize that they are not a threat. What’s under threat are your freedoms. If they are threats or anyone else, they why aren’t they wearing full gowns at the airport?
I think the rules are pretty clear and if you don’t abide by them you unfortunately have to face the consequences in Bermuda, just as you would do in other countries around the world.
Im glad they are testing the government, I was on their side and thought they were doing a great job managing covid for awhile. Then came the inconsistencies.
We couldn’t have Cupmatch, we couldn’t go out on the boat, we couldn’t visit with friends, but government but the blinders on to the neighborhood cricket game streamed online at Sleepy Hollow and pretended in never happened.
We were discouraged from visiting, neighbours, friends and family because of Covid, but this same government thought it was a great time to have an election – two years earlier than required and have politicians go from one house to another, not to mention go to the voting booth.
Several people were prosecuted for being in breach of curfew, which I agree with in principal. That is until you ask what happened to the person that ignored the quarantine order and a day later found to be positive for UK variant, and went to a party infecting many! Or what happened to the person that had the party at Botanical Gardens?
We had Premier Burt preaching every day about social distancing, mask wearing, washing hands etc…. but caught the virus himself. How? What was he telling us to do, that he didn’t?
Now we have an exemption for Cricket ONLY! No other sports, no other gatherings – including FUNERALS! Minister Peets announces that County Games can have up to 225 people. After that they must be a Pass Key event. Huh? So what are they gonna do when they get get to 226 people? Are they gonna stop the event and ask everyone to leave, and ask them to get in line again and show that they have their pass key! No! I am so disappointed in Mr. Peets. I expected more from a man of the cloth!
Cupmatch we can have 4000 people (not including staff, players etc..) packed in tight. But I cant have 50 people at a wedding, baptism, or funeral!
Sleepy Hollow has also announced that they will have their event this year. Will they be forced to ask for an exemption? Or will the government look the other way again. Will they police and fine the residents if they break the rules.
Do as I do and not as I say, seems to be the rule with this government now. They lost my respect and will not get my vote again.

So now both the PLP Government and the Bermuda Police Service are identifying individuals being investigated. I do hope this is a blanket change of policy and all PATI requests will now also identify the people involved.
What happened to not identifying individual in relation to police investigations and Government actions? Or is it only those who criticise the PLP Government that are named and shamed?
And identifying the children as being involved! Really? A truly shameful act by both the Bermuda Police Service and their masters, the PLP Government

So what makes the law rule over people’s rights of the jab. No other country is doing this dam nonsense. Turning our own people into criminals is absolutely degrading. I hope people also realize that this rule is fake and phony to fool the people into stupidity. This jab that people took has a very dark and deep hidden agenda, more then the people realize. Not true, there are plenty of other places that make people quarantine for 2 weeks.
Some places even insist on a 2 week quarantine for vaccinated people. New Zealand is a good example.
Sophia Cannonier & Michael Watson are misguided & selfish. They have just returned from the U.K., where the Delta variant is spreading rapidly & claiming lives. They may have been infected with this dangerous variant, &, because they refused to be immunized, they could spread it to others. The antibodies produced in response to the original COVID-19 virus will not protect against the Delta variant. They have broken the law. They should be forced to quarantine in a hotel for visitors, or, better still, Channel View Ho-tel.

That’s actually factually untrue. A number of countries have different entry requirements, including quarantine, for those unvaccinated.
JAIL THEM, they broke the law ! I wonder if I walk through the airport with illegal drugs or if I smashed you car windows or if I slashed someone’s face with a knife I would get the same support from the supporters of the watson/cannonier crew. They broke the law or is it that their crime is kind of like a white lie!
