41-Yr-Old Man Injured In Collision On Crow Lane

A 41-year-old man was injured when he “collided with a pole as he attempted to negotiate a bend” along Crow Lane on Sunday evening, the police have confirmed.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 11:30pm on Sunday 8th August 2021, and other first responders were dispatched to a single vehicle road traffic collision along Crow Lane near the North Roundabout.

“Information suggests that a 41-yr-old man was travelling in an easterly direction, when he collided with a pole as he attempted to negotiate a bend.

“The victim was transported to KEMH for treatment of his injuries, which are described as being very serious.

“Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this accident, to call Acting Sgt. Lee-Roma Swan on 247-1454 or 717-0708.”

    Oh yeah, double apex bend, adverse camber and a gradient. It’s a terrible piece of road.

      You would think that all of the crashes & all of the deaths on that small stretch of road over the years would tell the highly paid engineers at W&E that something is wrong.

      Apparently not.

      What has been the medical cost for all of those injuries & funeral costs for the dead vs the cost of W&E getting out & actually making the road safer?
