Fortitude Re Donates $88,333 To CURB
Fortitude Re donated $88,333 to Citizens Uprooting Racism in Bermuda [CURB] to assist its “work in the community against social injustice and racial inequity.”
A spokesperson said, “Fortitude Re, Bermuda’s largest multi-line reinsurer, has announced an $88,333 donation to Citizens Uprooting Racism in Bermuda [CURB] to provide crucial and direct support to the community.
“This donation means a great deal to CURB, not only from the perspective that the funds are extremely welcomed and needed, but also that after 17 years, validation of CURB’s work in the community is finally being recognized,” said Lynne A. Winfield, President of CURB.
“We believe the example of Fortitude Re as an organization committed to social change through philanthropy, demonstrates the strong commitment the organization has to be agents of change in bringing about greater racial equity to the communities in which it works and lives.”
