A Government spokesperson said, “We have completed week 38 of vaccinations, and since January 11, Bermuda has administered a total of 87,723 vaccinations.

“Of the 87,723 vaccinations given as of October 2:

  • 52% are women and,

“To date, 68.9% of the population has been vaccinated [1 dose], and 66.7% of the population has been immunised [2 doses].

“The Covid-19 vaccine remains our best defence in preventing the spread of this virus. It will decrease symptoms and severe illness and, in most cases, prevent death.

“We are offering free Covid-19 vaccinations at the Hamilton Princess in the Harbourview Ballroom on the following dates:

  • Friday, October 8, from 3 pm to 7 pm
  • Sunday, October 10, from 1 pm to 5 pm

“Complimentary parking is available, as well as refreshments and sweet treats generously provided by the Hamilton Princess.

“Those who have decided to get vaccinated can go to Hamilton Princess, book an appointment, or walk into the KEMH Vaccination Clinic on Tuesday and Thursday, 4 to 7 pm, and Saturday, 8 am to 4 pm. Medical doctors will be at Hamilton Princess and KEMH to answer any questions about Covid-19 and the vaccines.”

A National disgrace. Truly two Bermudas.

  2. Solomon says:

It is now clear that vaccination numbers only improve if the Government takes a hardline. Unfathomably, the deaths of friends, families and colleagues is not enough.

The Government must demand all public facing roles be vaccinated. Or they lose their job. As many other countries have done.

    • Tired says:

Wow.. do you see what is happening iin so many states/countries??? Our government are quire fortunate as many places around the world are taking over the streets with thousands of people standinfg for their rights. Do you have a heart? How about tge many that cant take it to medical reasons?

“The Government must demand all public facing roles be vaccinated. Or they lose their job.”

What other Constitutional protections do you advocate be abolished? How about the right not to be arbitrarily arrested and detained?

    • LOL (original) says:

Then I guess those this applies to should not pay taxes then!?

So now the PLP Government is bribing people to take care of themselves?

  4. Andrew says:

Seems the USA requirement for visitors to show proof of vaccine is having an impact. lol SMH

  5. Ringmaster says:

Still the Government clings to the population as 64,000. That is clearly incorrect. Even the Min of Health has stated that due to the fall in several thousand people the BHP subsidy has had to increase on the remainder. Surely it’s not beyond the scope of someone to get a better and more accurate number? Currently Bermuda is operating in a complete haze of not knowing.

    • Unbelievable says:

I, too, was wondering what Bermuda’s population currently is. There are differing sources that put it at 71k and some at 63k.
Would the Dept of Statistics know?

    • question says:

Probably now less than 60,000, after the PLP right-wing anti-foreigner campaigns.
Fewer and fewer of us to pay all the debt and for the useless half-asd civil service and public employees whining every time they’re expected to do a proper day’s work.
