Taaj Muhammad Found Guilty Of Murder
Taaj Muhammad has been found guilty of the murder of Ronniko Burchall, with the Bermuda Police Service saying the guilty verdict “was a collaborative effort of many that got us here today.”
Muhammad was found guilty of the murder of Ronniko Burchall as well as using a firearm to commit the offence, and he was remanded in custody and will be sentenced at a later date.
Mr. Burchall, 30, was shot while outside of the St. Davids Cricket Club/
Speaking after the verdict, Detective Sergeant Jason Smith thanked the witnesses that came forward saying they were very bold and courageous.
“This was a protracted investigation,” he said. “So it’s been a lot of hard work put in by various departments, investigative units, uniformed police officers, and then, of course, our community partners such as outside forensic services that helped bring about this result. So it was a collaborative effort of many that got us here today.”
