Football: Footy Queens & Dandy Stars Win

The Bermuda Football Association’s Women’s League season continued with a doubleheader at the Clyde Best Center of Excellence Field that produced 7 goals.

Footy Queens 3 – PHC Lady Zebras 0

The Footy Queens showed their dominance in the league as they defeated a determined PHC Lady Zebras team 3 – 0.

After a scoreless first half, Teyah Lindo gave the Footy Queens the lead in the 36th minute, Leilanni Nesbeth doubled the Footy Queens lead in the 38th minute, and then Zindzi Swan scored the Footy Queens third goal in the 60th minute.

Dandy Stars 3  – St. George’s Lady Colts 1

In the nightcap, the Dandy Stars defeated the St. George’s Lady Colts 3 – 1.

Marissa Mackenzie gave the Dandy Stars the lead in the 14th minute, they took that lead to the break.

Mackenzie doubled the Dandy Stars lead in the 36th minute, but Stacy Babb would pull a goal back for the St. George’s Lady Colts in the 38th minute when she scored from the halfway line, however Kenshae Richardson restored the Dandy Stars’ two-goal lead to make it 3 – 1.
