Tennis: Bermuda Conclude Billie Jean King Cup
Bermuda’s Billie Jean King Cup team of Shelby Madeiros, Asia-Leigh Hollis, Kumani Jackson, Amaya Rollins, and Nadhira Durham concluded competing in Group II of the Americas Group A Round Robin Division at the Centro National Stadium in the Dominican Republic.
Bermuda took on Panama in the 13th to 16th playoff position on the final day, falling 2 – 0.
Hollis was first on the court and she lost in straight sets 6-2, 6-1 to Anna Louise Bjornestad in a match that took 58 minutes to complete.
Madeiros was next on the court, falling to Rosaline Zafir Chavez Tello in straight sets 6-2, 6-0 in a 54 minute battle.
