Results: Six Bermudian Footballers Overseas

College teams that include Bermudian footballers Zemira Webb, Adrian Trott, Marli Butterfield, Peter Silvester, Leilanni Nesbeth, and Nia Christopher were recently in action overseas.

Zemira Webb

A goal with three minutes left in the game gave the University of Louisiana at Monroe the 2 – 1 victory over Zemira Webb’s Southern University.

Adrian Trott

Adrian Trott and his second-ranked Amherst College Men’s Soccer teammates scored twice in the first five minutes as they opened its 2022 campaign with a 4 – 1 win over non-conference opponent Mount Saint Vincent.

Marli Butterfield

West Virginia Wesleyan Women’s Soccer team cruised to a 4 – 0 Mountain East Conference season-opening victory over Marli Butterfield and her Glenville State Women’s Soccer teammates.

Peter Silvester

Peter Silvester and his Connecticut College Men’s Soccer teammates returned to the pitch to begin the 2022 season and Connecticut College routed Mitchell 9-0 on a rainy afternoon at Silfen Field.

Leilanni Nesbeth

Leilanni Nesbeth and her No. 8th ranked Florida State Women’s Soccer teammates took down Florida Gulf Coast University, 5 – 0, in Tallahassee.

Nia Christopher

Nia Christopher and her Towson University Women’s Soccer teammates picked up their fourth straight victory in a 2 – 0 win against Bucknell.

Christopher gave Towson the lead in the 28th minute, after drawing a foul in the box, Christopher calmly put home her penalty kick away to give Towson a 1 – 0 lead. Jasmine Hamid added an insurance goal in the 65th minute off a Reese Borden corner kick.

Towson improved their win streak to four games and are undefeated in their last five with four shutouts during the streak.
