Durham Wins Two Silvers At Kickboxing Worlds

Che Durham will return home with two silver medals from the World Kickboxing and Karate Association [WKA] World Championships in Prestatyn, Wales.

Durham, of the Bermuda Sanshou Association, lost to Ireland’s Celtan Delaney in the men’s 154-pound K1 division by a split decision on the Emerge Fight Series promotion.

Delaney now has an opportunity to compete in the Emerge Fight Series eliminations at the WKA World Championships in Bali next year.

Durham was also narrowly beaten on points by Corban Mita, of New Zealand, in the Glory Rules final/

The 28-year-old told Bernews: “It’s been a great experience. I gave it my all. I had two hard fights in the finals and I’ve learned a lot.”
